Trinity and the Kingdom Prayer Stations

On Saturday night of the retreat, we had nine different prayer stations to reflect on different aspects of our lives and the Church through the lens of the Trinity.

We are not just recipients of the love of the Trinity—we are participants. When the Father incorporates us into the triune fellowship by placing us in Christ through the power of the Spirit, this doesn’t just change how God views us and relates to us. It changes who we really are. — Greg Boyd

Station Descriptions

Apostles’ Creed: Read and reflect on the creed through the lens of the Trinity.

Count your Blessings: an exercise to remember that we serve a good and trustworthy God.

Drawing: participate in creation by reflecting on creation and creating something yourself.

Lectio Divina: “…is a way of reading the Scriptures that is congruent with the way the Scriptures serve the Christian community as a witness to God’s revelation of himself to us. It is the wise guidance…into appropriate ways of understanding and receiving this text so that it is formative for the way we live our lives, not merely making an impression on our minds or feelings.”

Loving Others: a look at the loving nature of God and the invitation to join in that nature.

Practicing Hope: As a church we are looking forward to healing of the world. Share in this hope and pray for His Kingdom come.

Prayer of Examine: Through the exercise, you practice the presence of God, reflect, pray, and look forward to tomorrow.

The Prayer of the Trinity: a prayer that is mindful of experiencing the different Persons of the Trinity. Adapted from NT Wright’s sermon for Trinity Sunday.
