Participate in Creation

Trinity is a present guide to living a Christian life. It reminds me that I must live my life (1) as a part of God’s glorious creation, (2) as a living God-connected human being within my lifetime (that’s my history), and (3) with loving spiritual connections within the communities of other human beings

Read the following passages. In them, we see God the Father creating the world through the Son and with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The earth is His temple, the stage where His loving interaction meets us and get invited to participate in creation and His work.

John 1:1–3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.

Hebrews 1:1–2

Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds.

Genesis 1:1–2

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
