Readings for the Week of Sept 21

Psalm 79:1-9Jeremiah 8:18-9:1I Timothy 2:1-7Luke 16:1-13

Nathan Hansen will be preaching this Saturday night, September 21, continuing our series: Keeping It Weird. Through this series we are exploring four practices that are both weird and essential to a life lived in Christ. The first was baptism, the second was the Lord’s Supper, and the practice for this week is Scripture. Specifically, the reading of Scripture so that it forms us more and more like Jesus.

In addition to Nathan’s teaching this weekend, let me encourage you to consider joining us on Tuesdays, beginning Oct 1, as we go even deeper on these four subjects in Wheatland’s class called Being Christian at the Wheatland Mission. Bring you questions, bring your Bible and let’s dive deep into these practices around which our collective life is formed .

Grant us, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to love things heavenly; and even now, while we are placed among things that are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
