Holy Saturday and Easter Morning
Join Wheatland, Saturday night, as we reflect upon Christ’s journey to the cross and the grave. The Holy Saturday Service is a special occasion where we enter that space where Jesus’ disciples were scattered, confused, and lost while he was in the tomb. We live on the joyful side of the resurrection. Like Lent, Holy Saturday, is a moment of intentional sadness undertaken in hope Christ’s resurrection. ~ Saturday at 5:30 PM in the Sunnyside sanctuary.
Of course, by Sunday morning the tomb is empty. Christ is risen from the dead and new life begins. Join us Sunday morning to celebrate with worship, receiving the Lords’ supper, and celebrating with an Easter brunch. Bring a “brunchy” dish to share, or, bring what you’ve missed during your Lenten fast. Above all, join us in the celebration. All are welcome, none are turned away, “The table is rich-laden: feast royally, all of you! The calf is fatted: let no one go forth hungry!” ~ Sunday Morning at 9:30 PM at the Hyde Park Shelter, 201 S. Greenwood.
